Well said.
What an awesome journey! Thanks for sharing that Michael. You’re in my prayers.
Thank you for sharing your story, Michael. May God bless you as you commit to the priesthood. I am sure I would learn a lot from your homilies.
Beautiful. God is always calling. Can we take time to listen to Him?
Michael,
Clearly you have intellectual gifts. While others were deciding who to go to the next social event with, you were asking yourself questions about God and Church. God bless you for taking your gifts and using them to deepen your relationship with Christ. Next you made the difficult choice to leave behind what you were taught to join the Church you had learned about. Clearly the gifts you have are guided by the Holy Spirit and your future is in good hands. I wish I could be in your future parish. Maybe you will be assigned to my church as a seminarian to learn about parish life. If so, you would find yourself at St. Raphael the Archangel Catholic Church in Old Mill Creek, IL which is very near the town of Antioch and close to the Wisconsin border. Visit our website, our church (the building) is unique.
In closing, God bless you on your journey and finding yourself at home in the Catholic Church.

It is such a shame that most Cradle Catholics have nowhere near the grasp of those who have converted from paganism or have come into the fullness of the Faith from Protestantism! Augustine should be required reading for all Catholics over the age of 16! Thanks for sharing your story!
