    Study Church History:

-because you can then refute Mormon missionaries at your door who claim the Great Apostasy.
-so that you can start to defend the Crusades.
-because it helps at Thanksgiving when you need to argue with family over why you converted to the One, True Church.
-so you can memorize the names and dates of all the Popes and then remember them with secular history.
-so you can know that there were many worse Popes throughout our history.
-so you can know that there were many worse times in our Church history.
-so you can know all the great heresies.
-so that when you are burned at the stake you can cry out to the right saint.
-because you cannot know Jesus Christ except through the Church He gave us on earth.
-only if you want to become Catholic.
