Marcus Grodi and Msgr. Jeffrey Steenson continue their study of Against Heresies by St. Irenaeus of Lyons looking at the legitimacy of the Gospel accounts that appear in all Christian versions of the New Testament. How do we know we can trust what the Gospels tell us about the person of Jesus Christ?
St. Irenaeus again appeals to the witness of the apostles, who preserved what the Lord had personally handed on to them, and witnessed personally His passion and resurrection, and which we have accounts of today in the New Testament.
