Caroline Rood: Former Episcopalian

Growing up in Vermont, Caroline Rood was a gifted child who had a close relationship with the Lord.  Both of her parents were in the performing arts and encouraged their daughter to develop her talents in singing and dance.  But they did not want to discuss Caroline’s religious thoughts.  Nor did any of her peers.  It led to a lonely life of separation and suffering.  Her parents divorced.  At fifteen she acted in West Side Story in Burlington, VT in a role that brought public notoriety along with public ridicule.  It began a long journey of seeking her true identity amidst much emotional pain.  Caroline shares the particulars of her difficulties through her teens and twenties and then ultimately her conversion from the Episcopal Church to Catholicism, where she found wholeness and peace.
