“I was an atheist, plain and simple.” – Nathaniel Hurd

Nathaniel Hurd didn’t believe in God as a young man, but it wasn’t necessarily because he was hostile to faith; he just didn’t take the idea seriously. Later on, he began to make adult friendships with Catholics who were well-rounded and able to answer some of his tough questions, and after being invited to attend an outdoor Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, he had a powerful experience of Jesus that led him to seek a home in the Catholic Church.
