David Quinn: A Revert to the Catholic Faith

November 21, 2005 Conversion Stories

David was raised in Dublin in a conventional Catholic family. He grew up in the 1960’s and 70’s, when he received no structured religious instruction. He finally did get one solid teacher who made sure David was grounded in the basics of the Catholic faith. At home, because his father was a journalist, politics was more in the forefront than was the faith. By the time he was a teen he was indifferent to the Church. After college, he stopped attending Mass altogether when he moved to Australia. He met his future wife, who was Baptist and began to attend her church, where he had a deep conversion experience. At this point he almost left the Church but, after discovering good Catholic books, he was led to recommit himself to his Catholic faith.
