This week’s episode of The Journey Home was a great conversation with Fr. Scott Wooten, a former Episcopal priest who came home to the Church through the Personal Ordinariate.

On a new CHNetwork Presents, Matt Swaim talked to Carl Olson and Dr. Paul Thigpen about what Catholics believe regarding the Rapture and the End Times.

And we featured the written testimony of Barry Hamlin, who became interested in Catholicism while watching Mass online with his wife during the COVID shutdowns.

CONVERTS AND CONVERSION

The National Catholic Register shared the story of a family of five that was recently received into the Church together.

Mike Aquilina shared a wonderful tribute to the late poet and Catholic convert Jane Greer.

Denver Catholic looked at a rise in interest in the Catholic Faith in the state of Colorado.

And David Mills looked at the complicated emotions that often come into play when converts reflect on their past.

APOLOGETICS PICKS OF THE WEEK

Dr. Scott Hahn reflected on lessons he learned from losing an apologetics debate.

Elizabeth Scalia reflected on a recent scientific discovery about human pregnancy that sheds interesting light on the dogma of the Assumption of Mary.

And Daniel Esparza shared the story of the stammering monk who helped to develop Gregorian chant.

A member who was just received into the Church last week, another member who will be recieved into the Church this weekend, and all our members who are getting ready to begin OCIA classes this Fall — these are just a few of the people we are praying for and working with at The Coming Home Network. Please help us continue to support those on the journey by visiting chnetwork.org/donate today!

“Holy Communion is the shortest and safest way to Heaven. There are others: innocence, but that is for little children; penance, but we are afraid of it; generous endurance of trials of life, but when they come we weep and ask to be delivered. The surest, easiest, shortest way is the Eucharist.”

Pope St. Pius X
