Marc Lozano was raised Catholic, but complained so much about going to Mass that his family stopped participating in the life of the Church.
He became a convinced atheist, and focused his efforts on math and basketball, eventually getting a job in the corporate offices of the NBA.
In an effort to prove his future wife wrong about her Catholic faith, he began to study Catholic philosophy and theology with the assumption that it would be easy to refute; instead, he began to be intellectually convinced of the truth of Catholicism.
But it was only later, after finally working up the nerve to actually pray, that he become emotionally and spiritually convinced as well.
