Brian Benoit: Former Baptist Minister

February 18, 2000 Baptist, Conversion Stories

Brian was a product of a mixed marriage. His father was Catholic and his mother was a Protestant. As a child he attended a Baptist church. In college he drifted away, not having any time for the Lord. When he was 22, he had a dramatic conversion to Christ. After serving in the military, he attended seminary and was ordained a Baptist minister, in 1980. He pastored for 15 years. While he was pastoring his wife developed an interest in the Catholic faith and joined the Church. In response, John’s congregation fired him. As time went one, while attending Mass with his wife, he fell in love with the Catholic Church.
