Fr. Jürgen Liias: Former Episcopal Priest

Born in the Black Forest Region of post-war Germany, Fr. Jürgen came to America, with his parents, in 1952. The family was given shelter by an Episcopal priest in Massachusetts. His new pastor had a profound effect on him and the call to ordained minister was present as far back as he can remember. Ordained an Episcopal priest in the early 1970’s, he never fit in with the liberal Anglican establishment of New England, being too orthodox and charismatic. Fr. Jürgen was received into the Catholic Church in 2009 and ordained a Catholic priest in 2013.
