Nathan Wigfield grew up in a strong Christian family, and the importance of a personal relationship with Jesus was impressed upon him from an early age. In college, he began to sense a call to ministry, but wasn’t sure what that meant for him. His desire to be part of a rooted theological tradition led him to the Early Church Fathers, and in them, he recognized the beauty of the Christianity he already knew, but he also felt them calling him to something deeper, more mysterious, and more beautiful in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church.
