Curt and Judy Ashburn – Former Mennonites

Judy Ashburn was raised Mennonite in Lancaster County, and when her husband, Curt, saw the witness of her community, he pursued a call to ministry as a Mennonite pastor. They helped plant a church in downtown Washington D.C., and started sending their kids to Catholic schools. When their daughter decided to become Catholic in 2008, it led to a deep search for both of them, and it was especially the mystery of Christ’s presence in the Eucharist that drew them to enter the Church and reconcile the difficulties they’d been experiencing in their marriage.
