The Coming Home Network joins the universal Church in mourning the passing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis.
CHNetwork Executive Director JonMarc Grodi shared a reminder that while the Pope is the pastor of all Catholics, the weight of his passing affects in a unique way all those Christians around the world who were just received into the Catholic Church this past weekend at the Easter Vigil:
“Pope Francis leaves a legacy of inviting outsiders to encounter the love of Christ and exhorting believers to live out the virtues of Faith, Hope, and Charity,” Grodi said. “Today the Church and the world — especially the thousands of newly baptized and confirmed Catholics — mourn the loss of the Holy Father and pray for the repose of his soul.”
May our Holy Father Pope Francis rest in peace and rise in glory, realizing the promised hope of all Christians, who during this season of Easter remember that Jesus Christ defeated death that we may live forever with Him.
