The latest from CHNetwork

This week’s episode of The Journey Home was an encore of our conversation with Fr. Scott Borgman, whose study of Catholicism began when he found out his parents, who had been Pentecostal missionaries, were becoming Catholic.

We launched a new series of On the Journey, in which Matt, Ken, and Kenny kicked off what will be an extended discussion of the Vatican II document Dei Verbum, on Divine Revelation.

We shared an article from Kenny Burchard on why Sts. Priscilla and Aquila from the Acts of the Apostles serve as models for us in our work of accompanying clergy converts to Catholicism.

And on a new Signposts, Marc Lozano shared his intellectual journey from atheism to Catholicism, and why a mere intellectual conversion wasn’t enough for him.

CONVERTS AND CONVERSION

Bénédicte Cedergren shared how the prayers of a Norwegian convert for vocations have borne fruit a hundred years later.

Joseph Pearce reflected on the witness of E.F. Schumacher, a convert who sought to popularize Catholic Social Teaching.

And Our Sunday Visitor interviewed one of the “perpetual pilgrims” walking across America in Eucharistic procession this Summer, about her journey from Presbyterina to Catholic.

APOLOGETICS PICKS OF THE WEEK

Jimmy Akin explained the difference between schism, heresy, and apostasy.

Dr. Christopher Kaczor reflected on the question of whether suffering disproves the existence of God.

And a Catholic member of the NBA champion Boston Celtics shared what it’s like to squeeze into a Confessional when you’re over seven feet tall.

A member who’s nervous about starting OCIA classes this Fall, another member who’s struggling to understand Catholic morality, and all our members who are praying their family will join them in the Catholic Faith — these are just a few of the people we are praying for and working with at The Coming Home Network. Please help us continue to support those on the journey by visiting chnetwork.org/donate today!
