This weekend, hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers will be gathering in Washington, DC to mark the anniversary of the tragic Roe v Wade Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion on demand in the United States. This gathering will include Catholics, Orthodox, Protestants, Jews, and even people of no faith at all, but from the beginning, the strongest opposition to Roe v Wade has come from Catholics.
The sanctity of human life is something that all Christians of good will can agree on- but for those of you who have either had a conversion or reversion to Catholicism, has your thinking on pro-life issues evolved as a result of learning what the Church teaches about the dignity of the human person? Has her stance on contraception, euthanasia, and other issues related to the pro-life movement changed your own perspective on those issues?
Please share in the comments below, and we’ll post some of your responses in a blog article later this week!
