Joey Duke: Former Church of Christ Minister

Background: /

October 19, 2015

Joey was raised in the non-institutional, non-instrumental Churches of Christ. His family was very active. If the church doors were open, they were there. He was baptized in the eighth grade and began to preach when he was a junior in high school. After college, he began full-time ministry. Because the Churches of Christ were founded as a unity movement, Joey began to seek out what other Christians believed. He also started reading books from outside of his group. Continuing his education and research he began to ask questions that could not be answered by his tradition. His inquiring mind and dedication to seeking out the truth of God eventually led him to full-communion to the Catholic Church.

    What does “non-instramental” mean?

It should say non-instrumental. Many churches of Christ prohibit instrumental music during church services.
