Kathleen Fowle – Former Non-Denominational Chaplain

August 16, 2016 3 Comments

Kathleen Fowle lost her father when she was in 1st grade, and the Seventh Day Adventist teaching on death and resurrection troubled her from that early age.  As she grew up, she developed a dual passion of making music and serving the poor, and her work as a non-denominational chaplain brought her into contact with Catholics, especially those shaped by Franciscan influence.  It was the Catholic understanding of the eternal meaning of the human person that helped her fill in the blanks that were missing in her theology, and complete her as a Christian.

Since Kathleen is a recording artist, we were also able to share some of her music in this episode- hope you enjoy it!

This written biography is a little misleading. Kathleen was a non-denominational chaplian most her adult life. The final line about her worldview leads one to believe she had been part of the SDA all along up until her conversion.

Adjusted to make it clearer- thanks!
