Jerry Horn: Former Non-denominational Pentecostal Minister

October 29, 1999 No Comments

Jerry grew up in a Southern Baptist home in Texas. In high school he drifted away from the faith of his youth and got involved in sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. In college he returned to Christ through the Jesus Movement of the early 1970’s. In 1976, he was ordained in a non-denominational Pentecostal denomination and served as a pastor. He also became active in the pro-life movement. A friend gave him a small book, an encyclical of St. John Paul II, entitled “The Gospel of Life”. Reading this book answered so many questions he had had in his ministry and defense of life that he saw that God was calling him to be a Catholic Christian. Jerry is now Senior Advisor and Director of Public Relations for Priests for Life.
