Although I have often enjoyed posting and reading posts here, something that Dave said, in a recent thread I started, again made it plain to me that I do not really belong here. I will continue to watch EWTN and continue to support the Roman Catholic Church from the outside. Even so, if I ever do convert, it will be likely a long time down the road. Meanwhile, I am probably more of a distraction than a help to these forums. Although sad, I need to leave here and let these forums do what they were intended to do.  Thank you for your kindness to me. I am sorry for any annoyance I may have caused.  I pray for God's blessings upon you all and upon the Roman Catholic Church.  :praying:      :waving:

Don't leave my friend.  At least pop in once in a while.  I've enjoyed your posts and hope you stick around.  It gets rocky once in a while in God's family but it's all a learning process.  I'll miss you if you don't pop in with your pithy comments.  We may disagree occasionally, but that doesn't mean God's love can't bring us together in harmony.

Take care

Rich

Marshall, I'm cleaning, getting ready for the Bible study tonight, so I have only a moment.

Sorry, no can do, permission to leave not granted.

Too many prayers already invested in your crossing the Tiber.
You have to stay and tolerate the rest of us while you complete your
journey (however long it takes).

Now--tell us a story about that dear grandmother who taught you reverence.

Back to my cleaning.

In Christ,
Becky

I have to aggree with the rest of the chorus here. Please don't go. If nothing else it is nice being able to read articulate and witty posts from a background such as yours, (especially since I find some affinity in them it at times).

And you certainly haven't caused me any annoyance in the last few months that I have been reading your posts.

Just sayin' :)

Marshall!!   You know how horrible it is to communicate via this medium.   It's just way too easy to misinterpret people's words and "hear" intonations that aren't really there, etc etc etc.  You've been a great asset to this board.  If Dave said something that offended you, well, maybe he was being confrontational, maybe not, but he's only ONE GUY!!!  Either way, there are a BUNCH of us here who would miss your input, just as we do miss others who have left us.

C'mon, Marshall!!  PLLLLEEEAAAAASSSEEE!!!

:hugging:

Boy do I understand that!!! It took me 5.5 years AFTER I started studying to accept acceptance into the Church. In our RCIA, the leader of the instructional team makes a BIG point, at least three times during the RCIA time-line that there is NO HURRY and no pressure. Each person should move ONLY at a pace that is comfortable to them.

Wishing all the best Marshall, what ever road you take.

Hi Marshall,

Nothing I wrote would, in my mind, be any cause for you to leave. I think I know what you have in mind (maybe not), but it (along with anything else that I wrote) wasn't directed towards you at all; it was simply a general clarification in a particular circumstance. I enjoy your posts and think you have been a great member. Please reconsider this decision. You see how many would be sad to see you go, and I count myself among them, very much so.

If you'd like, drop me a PM and maybe we can clear up whatever happened to make you feel that something I wrote should cause you to decide to leave, okay?

Mr. Buckles, you can't leave!  You represent a good number of people treading water out there in the Tiber!  Your comments and stories are invaluable and we need them.  I know that no one here including Dave would intentionally say something to offend you.  We get worked up over issues that deserve hashing out sometimes, like any family.  Please stay.... :begging:

Sorry Marshall you are not excused. For two reason's

1. This website was started just for folks like you (Folks on a Journey)

2. Becky has spoken....you can not leave.....

And I will add my two cents.

You can't leave.  I need someone to pick on during football season.

Yep, I've been whacked by angels' wings before myself, Marshall, and usually because other members of the Body of Christ were "helping me find my way." Ain't nothin' like famlee to tell us what's what and what we should do. Right? The Lord seems to pay attention when a whole bunch of our brothers and sisters talk to Him about us all at once.

SIGH. OK. So everything is gonna be OK. That's good.

Have pity on me, Marshall, and don't do that again. I hate goodbyes. I've had too many goodbyes. No more goodbyes.

Bless you, friend,
Becky

Hard to beat the Association!
I know they did "Never, My Love." Didn't they also do your "Never Can Say Goodbye"? If not, who did that one, Marshall?

Losin' the memory, day by day,

Becky

Now who gets to pick on him first... I mean we have to make him feel at home, right?

Wow! Thanks, Rick. That was fun!
I love how hearing the old songs can make me feel young again.

What a surprise, though, that it was the Jackson 5.
Those were not the voices (in my head) connected with that song.

Marshall, I'll say a prayer about your power line dispute.

God bless,
Becky

Somethin' about StephenC being a very smart fellow and
that maybe the members of this forum should rule the world!

Do you hear them, too, Rick?!?!?

Well, maybe it's time to bring out the true heavyweights on this forum:
Kermie and little John Conlee.

Put me down for weekly sessions with Kermie and the cool pink glasses dude.

If the rest of you characters are wise, you'll follow my example!!!

Becky
