I'm wondering how everyone else is doing in their reading. I keep telling myself to just put one foot in front of the other, and not give up when I get behind. It's so easy for me to make New Year's Resolutions--especially ones like this, --and then get discouraged right about now.
Actually, I just finished Day 31 and I'm really enjoying it. How about the rest of you?
I also wanted to ask any of you that own Father Corapi's CD or DVD series on the catechism if you thihk it enhances your reading, or merely repeats it. I've been toying with the idea of buying it, but it is a major purchase so I'd like to make sure it is worth the $200.
Blessings,
Dede

Following the "program" to read the Catechism and Bible in a year has been a great blessing to me! I'm so thankful for the encouragement to do this. As a Protestant, I read the Bible in a Year many times, but it's been a delight to read the Catholic translation, and I'm really looking forward to the books that weren't in my other Bible. My daughter and I read it outloud together, and that has been wonderful. I concentrate more, and we talk a lot about what we read. I had no idea how beautiful the Catechism is. I'd been reading the Compendium, which is great too, but I'm very encouraged to be reading the full text.
I've only seen a little of Fr. Corapi's Catechism series on EWTN, but whatever he does is always excellent.

I have only just joined and I printed out the PDF file. Tiny print, but I can make it out well enough to jump in with everyone else. My reading year will just have to run from March to February instead of January to December. I read the Bible all the way through only once, and I usually read the CCC as a reference book, not strictly reading it through. I am looking forward to this! Wish me luck!
