Hi,
I really like the concept of covering Holy Scripture and our Catechism in a year and would like to present each day's selections on my blog, dynamically.  I am wondering if you have or are in the process of developing this so that many more can participate?

If you take a look at how LibraryThing faciliates incorporating data into the sidebar, that would work great.  for example:

The Bible and Catechism
in One Year

Day 33
OT
PS
NT
CCC

from your friends at
The Coming Home Network (with a hyperlink to your site)

You could even provide the option for the user to determine how many days to show at once, ie the current day, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 9 days, etc.

The team at Diigo makes their LinkRoll configurable, so, if you look at their design and how it appears on http://www.halfthekingdom.org/wordpress/ (right sidebar) you will see it blends perfectly with the rest of my design, which is important.

Please do let me know the status as I very much want to make this available to my site's visitors.  Thanks so much in advance.

In the two hearts,
Sue

Welcome to our forum, Sue. :waving: Sounds like a great idea. I have nothing to do with this particular thing, though, so can't do anything about that.

Thanks very much for the welcome, Dave.  I look forward to hearing if the team has interest in or is developing this idea.
Have a very blessed and holy Triduum.

Seems to me this can easily be adapted from the CHN network Bible reading schedule we already have. I am using it to read through the Catechism already along with the scheduled readings. A Through the Year Bible with the CCC readings would be nice too.

Like Dave, I have no influence over this at all, so you would really have to take it up with staff, but I can see one immediate problem.  Catholic versions of the bible are copyrighted.  The NAB, in particular, is copyrighted by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops.  They do not, for example, allow web sites to post lectionary readings under any circumstances except by individual contract, which I presume involves payment.  I don’t thnk there would be a problem in posting the books and verses and a hyperlink to, say, the USCCB web site or the Catechism at the Vatican web site, but I think there would be a problem with posting the material itself without specific arrangements.

Nor do I think (from a copyright standpoint) there would be a problem with posting the information from the "Read the Bible and Catechism in a Year" pamphlet which CHNI distributes freely.  However, the pamphlet does include a copyright notice so it would be proper to write to info@chnetwork.org and request permission.

Thanks Rick, actually, I think you have misunderstood what I posted.  I will indeed contact them by email.
Thank you and God bless you,
