I need info about a man from England that was on the Journey Home program. I believe he was a professor of religion. I can't remember his name or the books he wrote.
I need this info, because I recently came in contact on another board...with someone raised Catholic that has become Buddhist. I would like to pass this info on to him.
How do I go about finding it, when I don't remember anymore info that what is listed above ? Does anyone happen to remember his name or the broadcast I am referring to?
Thanks.
Pam

The man is Paul Williams, Pam. I have a copy of the book he wrote about his journey from Buddhism to Catholicism; it is called The Unexpected Way, published by T&T Clark, Continuum Books. Amazon lists the book here.
I’ve known several people that went from Catholicism to Buddhism, or rather, in the majority of cases, to a New Age pseudo-Buddhist ideology/spirituality. They are not easy to reach because they have gone overboard on subjectivism.
Another well known figure who converted from Buddhism to Catholicism is Fr. Ho Lung, founder of the Missionaries of the Poor in Kingston, Jamaica. He has not written any books that I know of, but he has appeared numerous times on EWTN.

David,
Thank you so much!! Ouch, the price of that book is $44....this person also lives in the UK...so maybe it will be easily available in their library system. Also now that I know his name, I can search the archives at EWTN, and maybe link him to some files of the show. Once again, thank you so much.
Peace be with you...Pam

Hi Pam,
You can find several testimonies of those who went from Buddhist to Catholic on this web page. Scroll down to "Buddhist" on the left (it's alphabetical).

David and David,
Thanks so much for all ya'lls help!!! I found the audio file on EWTN...it's number 242...posting here for future reference, encase someone else comes along looking for info and stories about former Buddhist converting to the Catholic Church. I posted my post on the other board, with the link to Amazon, EWTN and the conversion stories David #2 posted....in his last post. Don't know how recieptive this person will be....but hey, doesn't hurt to try and plant some seeds....and leave the rest up to prayer.

Once again, thanks....I never would have found it without ya'lls help...and couldn't think of his name for the life of me.
Peace be with you...Pam
