Does anyone know anything about Fr. Richard Sparks, a Paulist priest who's coming to talk at the Oratory in Rock Hill, SC next year.  He seems to be a controversial figure and should I be concerned about his teachings?  Thanks for any advice anyone has to offer.

I would not bother going.  I read one of his books on morality and tossed it out in the trash.

Here is an article detailing one person’s impression of a presentation by Fr. Richard Sparks. It appears to be in complete agreement with Br. Rich.

I read the linked article. I have got to say that Fr. Sparks is no doubt heretically radical. Yet, after reading her other articles as well, I felt the author of the review was overstepping the Catechism on some of her objections and statements about what the church belieives. They seemed to represent the 2 extremes of appplying doctrine. I guess I am just a moderation kind of person.
