Ken, if you are a Catholic and the young man and young woman are Catholics who have chosen to defy the marriage laws of the Church, then probably you should not be present at the reception.
Indeed, the priests from whom I take counsel, would not permit attendance at such a wedding by one of their flock. I have dear friends who could not attend their son's wedding because he chose to defy the marriage laws of the Church.
Their attendance would have created scandal because of suggesting their support of his defiance.
Some might argue that as long as one skips the wedding itself, perhaps attendance at the reception alone could be justified. (I myself would not attend either.) You'd need to consult with your bishop for clear guidance on that and on possible permission to attend the wedding, if he sees justification for making an exception.
