I didn't see a thread with this topic yet, so hope I'm not duplicating!  A few months back I started to put together in a book all of my favorite prayers I have been collecting for awhile, from prayer cards, devotionals, the saints, etc.  I'm sure many of you have wonderful favorites to share as well.  Here are some of mine:

Thomas Merton

Dear God, I have no idea where I am going.  I do not see the road ahead of me.  I cannot know for certain where it will end.  Nor do I really know myself, and the fact that I think that I am following your will does not mean that I am actually doing so.  But I believe this.  I believe that the desire to please you does in fact please you.  I hope I have that desire in everything I do.  I hope I never do anything apart from that desire.  And I know that if I do this you will lead me by the right road though I may know nothing about it at the time.  Therefore I will trust you always for though I may seem to be lost, and in the shadow of death, I will not be afraid because I know you will never leave me to face my troubles all alone.  Amen.

From "Come to Me in the Blessed Sacrament"

To Your Gentle Heart I lift up a broken humanity,

asking You with that faith "which moves mountains,"

to touch, help and heal all the afflicted,

giving comfort to the dying,

consolation to the sick,

hope to the depressed,

freedom to the addicted,

faith to all unbelievers,

love to the lonely,

mercy to every sinner,

peace to the whole world,

by virtue of the infinite merits of Your Sacred Heart, Jesus,

and the merits of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.  Amen.

Anima Christi

Soul of Christ, sanctify me
Body of Christ, save me
Blood of Christ, inebriate me
Water from Christ's side, wash me
Passion of Christ, strengthen me
O good Jesus, hear me
Within Thy wounds hide me
Suffer me not to be separated from Thee
From the malicious enemy defend me
In the hour of my death call me
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints
and with Thy angels
Forever and ever
Amen

"I love You, O my God, and my only desire is to love You until the last breath of my life. I love You, O my infinitely lovable God, and I would rather die loving You, than live without loving You. I love You, Lord and the only grace I ask is to love You eternally....My God, if my tongue cannot say in every moment that I love You, I want my heart to repeat it to You as often as I draw breath."   -- Saint John Vianney.

From the Leaflet Missal Company Catholic Devotional

[After each petition, respond "Jesus help me."]

In every need, let me come to You with humble trust saying...

In all my doubts, perplexities and temptations...

In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials...

In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows...

When others fail me, and Your grace alone can assist me...

When I throw myself on Your tender love as a Brother and Savior...

When my heart is cast down by failure to see any good come from my efforts...

When I feel impatient and my cross irritates me...

When I am ill and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely...

Always, always, in spite of wekness, falls and shortcomings of every kind, Jesus help me and never foresake me.  Amen.
