James 2:14 (RSV) What does it profit, my brethren, if a man says he has faith but has not works? Can his faith save him?
James 2:17 So faith by itself, if it has no works, is dead.
James 2:20-21 Do you want to be shown, you shallow man, that faith apart from works is barren? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he offered his son Isaac upon the altar?
James 2:24-26 You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone. And in the same way was not also Rahab the harlot justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so faith apart from works is dead.

Couldn't be much clearer than that, could it Dave?

You know, we Protestants are so afraid that Jesus will not get full billing if works are even slightly considered in the picture, yet all I've seen of the Catholic Church and practicing Catholics so far is that Jesus is EVERYTHING to them. Just look at the Mass! I think Catholics are far more faithful at truly worshipping Christ than we are! I really do!
Yet, Catholics are so "man-centered". Yeah, centered on the man, Christ Jesus!
Yeah, I'm feeling pretty feisty right now! Whoop!
