Hello everyone...well I came home today...30 minutes before this morning's 9am mass I met with Father Valentine in the Sacristry where I had a face to face confession...that was very hard believe me...I had 59 years of sins to confess...and while confessing I started to cry...thats unmanly I know...but it really got to me...anyway after that I recited the Profession of Faith and now I feel as if I have been born again...I then proceeded to attend the 9am mass as a Catholic...and when I received the Eucharist an awe came over me...I don't know how to explain it but I felt as if Jesus was now part of me and he has given me another chance on life...I have decided to join the parish officially and become as active in it as I can...and have promised to myself and God that I will attend mass on Sunday and try to attend mass at least once during the week...getting a second chance in life is amazing...giving up the burden of my sins is priceless...I also thank all of you on this forum who have been in contact with me...I am lucky since I didn't have to wait long to return to the faith...since I was baptized in the Orthodox faith I didn't need to go through any classes and since I am Armenian there is an Armenian Catholic Rite...TO BE HOME IS JUST WONDERFUL !!!

Thanks for sharing this wonderful news with us, Bob.  And I can fully relate to your tears in confession and the joyful sense of intimacy with Jesus when you received the Eucharist.

Congratulations, Rob!  My wife is half Armenian, though raised [and so far remaining] in a Protestant faith.

If you would, please pray for her conversion.  As an Armenian [and a new convert], maybe you'll have a special gift for this!  Her name is Laura.

Thank you,

Bill

Bob,

Welcome Home!  Your Sunday Morning Confession story reminded me of my own.  May God continue to fill you with a deepening sense of His awesome Grace and Mercy!  In this we find our joy!
