Please pray that no one is negatively affected by the heat.  The wedding is at 6 PM today and I covet your prayers that all will be blessed of God.

Thank you all!

Jill

Jill, I will be praying.

Send us a pic of the beautiful mother of the bride!

God bless,

Best wishes to the bride and groom, and to the mother of the bride!  Run to Wal-Mart and get a bunch of those little hand-held fans.  Congratulations!  Send us pics!  I will pray for a lovely and uneventful (as in heat stroke!) wedding.

Thank you for your prayers...   It's the calm before the storm at the moment.  Indeed, we planned for some heat and did make 100 of these fans.  This is my husband and his sister and the fans with Ellen and Dave's smiling faces....

Jill -

I'm guessing you're well involved at this present moment, but I wanted to say that cooler weather is coming in from the coast today, so the gentle breezes may begin to blow where you are by 6pm.

YA, it's not 6 your time yet :D  Oh the fans are so cute.

Be at peace.  From the prayers of Crowning

In Your indescribable graciousness and great goodness You came to Cana in Galilee, and blessed the marriage which took place there. Thus You made it clear that it is Your will that there should be lawful marriage and from it the procreation of children. Now, Most Holy Master, hear the supplication of us, Your servants. As You were there, so also be here with Your invisible presence; and bless this marriage, granting to Your servants - Jill's Children(I don't know their names) , a peaceful and long life, matrimonial chastity, mutual love in the bond of peace, a long-lived posterity, happiness in their children, and the unfading crown of glory. Keep their married life above reproach, and grant them to see their childrens' children; give them dew from heaven and the fruitfulness of the earth; provide them with an abundance of temporal good things, that they in turn may share their abundance with those in need; and grant to everyone here present with them all that is necessary for salvation.
For You are a merciful, generous God and You love mankind; and we give glory to You, together with Your eternal Father and Your all-holy, gracious, and life-giving Spirit, now and ever, and forever.

Thank you SO much for your prayers, both written here and, I'm sure, expressed in a whisper in your hearts.   It was about 10 degrees cooler yesterday and everyone survived beautifully.  The ceremony was lovely, the bride was absolutely gorgeous, everyone was delirious with joy for them - truly your prayers were answered most graciously.

Here's the new family, my husband, and I...

Oh, Jill, how beautiful all of you are! :hugging:

I'm thrilled to get this picture and so pleased and happy to hear that the temperature dropped.

Are you exhausted from the festivities?

Becky

That's a great picture Jill, it looks like you found some cool shade to stand in!  The bride is radiant!!!  Now you need to put your feet up and something tall and cool to drink.  Congratulations!!

Thanks for the great photos. A lovely bride indeed (takes after her mother). Congrats to them! I'm happy to hear that the weather cooperated.

We had a huge backyard party on the same day (about 50 or so guests). It had rained cats and dogs the day before (and a little the day after) and we had a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, but they never came. It was about 78 degrees, pretty sunny day, then going down to the low 60s for the early evening (we had fireworks shot off by the city a block away for our "entertainment").
