Please pray for the repose of the soul of my mother-in-law, Marilyn, who passed away in the night last night after battling with Alzheimers for several years.  They say she went peacefully in the night and had a beautiful expression on her face.  We are now trying to decide about traveling for the funeral (2000+ miles away) and how many of our family are going as it's terribly expensive.

Thank you!

Didi, she will be in our prayers.  Those with Alzheimer's and dementia literally become the "little children" our Savior told us all we need to be to enter heaven, so I believe you can be assured Jesus is calling her to himself.

Remember that airlines often offer bereavement discounts (bring a copy of the death certificate or newspaper obituary with you), and you can save money with most airlines these days if you don't check any baggage.  Don't forget to check the prices at Southwest Airlines if they fly a convenient route.  Most travel agents and web sites don't include Southwest in their ticket prices since they don't pay a commission.

"Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted."

May she enter God's heavenly kingdom to rejoice in His Presence with all the angels and saints.

Didi,

You and your family are in my prayers. She is at peace with the Lord and out of her long misery.

My condolences to your husband and your entire family. I've lost both my parents (my mother first) 22 and 18 years ago respectively. The pain eases, but there'll always be those moments when you're scratching your head wondering what would Dad, or Mom say, and they're not there.

Well ... not quite indeed. They are there. Trust me, and our Eternal Father who's Always There for all of us.

Steven

Father in heaven, we pray for the soul of your daughter Marilyn. May she now rest in peace, liberated from her torments of mind and soul. And we lift up her entire family. May you guide and comfort them at this difficult time.

May Marilyn's memory be eternal+

I pray the travels have gone well for all.
Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Thank you all so much for your prayers.  There were times when I knew it was the prayers of others getting us through, starting with car difficulties only four hours into the 25-hour trip.  All worked out well, and the family was all together for the first time in 12 years which Marilyn loved, I'm sure!  We're home safely and so thankful to have been able to go with the help of many friends and family who helped us out financially.  God is good!

Didi,

I'm so glad to know that you are back safely.
I continue to remember you and your family, and the employment
needs, in my prayers.

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on and let the healing continue for DiDi's family.
