Some of you may remember what I went through last spring, part of the trama being an old girl I got back together w/left me for another guy she met on line. Well I talked w/her yesterday for the first time in quite a while, she got engaged and was to be married this August. Last April she got into a little fight w/David, later she went out to the garage and found he had hanged himself! She tried to save him, but it was too late. Today she's driving to New York to consult a medium to contact David, it might not be a bad idea to pray for her, me as well, I can't get too close to this!

Mark, you have my prayer for yourself and for Lisa.  And for the repose of the soul of "David."  God bless

Likewise Mark, but by all means, work your way through this WITH SOMEBODY. You've been rattled pretty hard, not to mention your old girlfriend who's in my prayers as well. And when the impulse hits to "let go" with those tears I know you've got to be holding inside--the real manly thing is to let'em fall and fall freely.

I didn't for somebody who affected me greatly years and years ago until last spring and out of almost nowhere, whammo, a lot of things hit me like a ton of bricks and I lost it in a library. Just broke down. But it was terribly embarrassing. Now I don't care how embarrassing it is to admit it if I can help somebody, but back then, and for all those years I kept in the hurt -- man, I was slowly killing myself and didn't know it.

Get with that girl and bring her right to a priest or a reliable lay man or woman you trust with your life. And remember this,

Nothing is impossible for you and especially your girlfiend, who's got to be   devastated, --- nothing is impossible -- for God to heal and make new. Just think of that scene in Gibson's Passion where Jesus meets Mary on his way to Calvary and he says "I make all things new."

And, has he.

You're in my prayers and I'm sure everyone else's who reads your post.

Steven

She's not my girlfriend, hasn't been for some time, every memory I have of her is tied to sorrow and heartache. I wanted to beat the snot out of that guy last spring, I fantasized about hurting them both, now he's dead, I feel awful!

Perhaps you misunderstood, we got back together last spring after having not seen each other in ten years, it was short lived though, she left me for this other guy, he killed himself while they were together, doesn't make much sence.

My apologies, but it was my (apparently mistaken) view that underneath all of the surface hurt you still cared a lot for this Lisa. And may God have mercy on the soul of the man who took his life. What he did not only to to himself, but also to her was wrong beyond comprehension: it was also selfish. And that's not just my opinion of suicide, but one I've learned from a professional in the field. Whatever it's worth to you, just remember that no matter how low you're feeling, I'm still in your corner pulling for you.

Take care, go with God, and put all your trust in Him to make all things new.

Lord of the Powers be with us, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on them all.
