| My sister Laura Ann and brother Martin (one of your fellow Roman Catholics) live with our elderly mother, Mrs. Fay Buckles of Bristol, Tennessee. My sister tells me that Mom is feeling extremely weak lately, feels ill constantly. Mom has some various health problems. Please pray for healing for my Mom and that she will remain alive and healthy to see her granddaughter (my daughter) graduate from high school in two and a half years. Thank you for your kind prayers.

From the Catholic Book of Prayers:
"God our Father, source of all health, be near those who suffer in the time of weakness and pain; relieve them of their burden and heal them, if it be Your will. Give peaceful sleep to those who need rest for soul and body, and be with them in their hours of silence. Bless those who know not what another day will bring. Make them ready for whatever it may be. Whether they must stand, sit or be confined, grant them a strong spirit. Inspire with Your love those who bring healing and care to the suffering. May they bestow Your gifts of health and strength wherever they go. Grant this prayer, through Christ our Lord. Amen"
Father in heaven, source of all mercy and goodness, we ask that you give healing and strength to Fay Buckles. Relieve her suffering and give her the energy and hope to regain the daily life she has been accustomed to. Amen.

O Lord our God, Who by a word alone did heal all diseases, Who did cure the kinswoman of Peter, You Who chastise with pity and heal according to Your goodness; Who are able to put aside every sickness and infirmity, do You Yourself, the same Lord, grant aid to Your servant Mrs. Fay and cure her of every sickness of which she is grieved; and send down upon her Your great mercy, and if it be Your will, give to her health and a complete recovery; for You are the Physician of our souls and bodies, and to You do we send up Glory: to the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Both now and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen.

Thank you all so very much for your prayers for my Mom! It turned out that she has "shingles", a reoccurance as a rash of the so called "chicken pox" virus later in life after one hand that disease in one's younger years. She still feels weak but seems to be getting better. Thanks again for your kind prayers!
