I just received word that my maternal uncle, retired Christian Church Minister George Washington Long of Crossville, Tennessee has had a "heart attack".  Apparently he has been placed in the Intenstive Care Unit of the hospital there and a stent placed in the affected artery. No further information has been available about the prognosis.  He is in his mid 70s but still fairly healthy and strong.  I would be grateful if you might kindly pray for his healing or, if this turns out to be his time for his "journey home" to heaven, that the Lord will grant him an easy passing and keep his soul in the Lord's eternal care.  His wife's name is Glenda and I know that she and the family would be grateful for your prayers as well. Thank you!

Dear Father in heaven, we lift up this man and his wife to you, and ask that you would be with them in this time of trial and sickness. If it be Your will to heal him naturally or supernaturally, we ask for that. If not, we ask for a peaceful passing into the next world and a full repentance of all sins, and that You would fully reveal Yourself and Your truth to him.

In Jesus' name, Amen.

Becky, thank you and the above so very much for your kind prayers for my uncle. My sister in Bristol, Tennessee has learned that Uncle George is still in Intensive Care, however, they have put a stent in the affected artery and there is hope that he will be able to be moved to a less intensive nursing floor soon with the possibilty of going home in some days.  He'd had a quadruple bypass done several years ago (he's in his 70s now) so everyone was particularly concerned about this.  However, at least there seems to be some hope now. Thank you again for your kind prayers!!  May God richly bless each of you!

With great amazement, I have just learned that my Uncle George has been released from the hospital and is now home and resting comfortably! He had been planning to go visit his son and grandchildren in Florida, but the Doctors tell him not to try to travel at this time. However, even so, he is doing far better than anyone expected!  Thank you for your prayers for him!

Marshall, this is great news. As much as I suspect conventional medicine in general, crisis medicine can save lives!

My husband suffered a heart attack last September. The damage was mitigated by the fast response of the ER staff. First thing the next morning a stent was put into the blocked artery [the procedure took less than 30 minutes!]. DH is feeling better than ever. Amazing what a little blood and oxygen can do.

Judging by our experience, your uncle will be feeling much stronger than he did before the attack.

Thanks for the update, and God Bless!

Lord of the Powers be with Uncle George, for in times of distress we have no other help but You.
Lord of the Powers, have mercy on us.
