Jay Lampart: Revert from Evangelicalism

April 6, 2015 One Comment

Jay grew up in an active Catholic home and community in New York. After they moved to Pennsylvania and a new culture he began to drift away from the faith as a teen. He would go to Mass with his parents but also attended Baptist worship with his girl friend. Later he became convinced, by some Evangelical Non-denominational friends, that the Catholic Church was evil and even a form of witchcraft. After he was married he became a youth group leader. To prepare for meetings he began studying the foundations of Protestantism, such as sola Scriptura, sola fide, etc. Frustrated, confused and angry, he totally stopped attending church. His life began to change when one Christmas Eve God led him to attend midnight Mass. This was the beginning of his healing and his journey Home to Christ’s holy Catholic Church.
